(message from President, CCAGP
& Mainline Chinese Schools)
What a wonderful New Year Festival
we had! All I have heard were wonderful praises. A few highlights during the
event are given below:
1. The banquet at cafeteria– people
really enjoyed so much about all the delicious dishes, especially the richness
of the cold platter, the tasty tenderloin, chicken…. People were saying that
the food was not only tasty, but also plenty, and gave them very little room
for the fry rice and the noodles. Mrs. Eby and Dr.
Cooper never stopped praising for the food and all the activities around them.
Their enjoyment was clearly shown on their faces and the frequent fills of
their plates.
2. The slideshow at cafeteria–
people loved watching them, and grouped around them through the whole banquet.
We also have people want to buy them, and one of them is Radnor High’s
Principal Mrs. Eby. Of course I told her that it will
be free for her, and gave her a copy right away. Dr. Cooper, the Radnor
Township Superintendent also was quite willing to have a copy. I can easily
envision that more publicity for us at the Township and Radnor High is yet to
come from this little gift.
3. The New Year Posters Show
(outside of Cafeteria) – The richness of Chinese New Year related posters done
by Lii-ying, Betty and associates, and the elegant
Chinese paintings by Josephine Tsai had attracted many viewers. Mrs. Eby also wanted a rooster painting from CCAGP/schools so
she can hang on the wall of Radnor’s main office. She said that she wanted to
show her associates/teachers the kind of relationship between the Radnor High
and the two
4. The New Year Show (staged in the
auditorium) – The bright and colorful costumes, props, special effects and the
well-rehearsed acts have brought none-stop admiration and smile from all our
honorary guests and their families. The program started and ended right on time
as stated in the hand-out, and that sure impressed Dr. Cooper and Mrs. Eby immensely. The video-taping crews have faithfully taped
the whole show and the tape clearly showed that the performance had attracted
everybody’s attention from beginning to end and a full house until the very
last minute. We show here our highest respect for all the teachers, the two
principals and all the participating parents that made this New Year
performance such a great success. We are making arrangement to have the tape
edited into DVD’s and will be available for sale/borrowing at both schools. The
proceeds will be used to fund cultural activities like this through the
year.
Thanks again to you all in making
this event so successful and memorable.
Sincerely,
Harrison, CCAGP

Sandi and I would like to express
our appreciation to you and the Cultural Association for extending your
hospitality during Saturday's celebration. We not only had a delightful time,
but found the student's show to be very entertaining and a learning experience
for us. It was most generous of you to spend so much time with us and share the
wealth of your culture. I ask that you please thank everyone associated with
the afternoon's festivities and extend our commendations for a job well
done.
Gung hay fat choy,
